Aircut™ - Cut Protection
Aircut™ Neck Protection
HECC Certified
HECC Certified
Cut protection has existed in hockey for years. Players stopped wearing it. The reason was always the same it cost them something on the ice. Aircut™ was engineered to make that trade-off disappear.
Cut Resistance
ANSI A6
Independent third-party tested. 3,000–3,999g cutting force required.
Airflow vs. conventional
+106%
More airflow than conventional woven 3-layer protective construction. ASTM D737, IDFL Lab.
Construction
2 vs. 3
Two purpose-built layers. Conventional protection is three layers built into one garment, each adding thermal mass and vapor resistance.
Cut Fiber
Dyneema® UHMWPE same fiber class used in surgical cut-resistant gloves. Lightweight, hydrophobic, and doesn't degrade with moisture.
Construction
Aircut™ is a single knit layer with 65%+ structural porosity, worn over EVAP KNIT™. Conventional cut protection integrates three layers into one garment. Two purpose-built layers beat a three-layer sandwich.
Emergency Access
Hook-and-loop rear closure accessible with standard trauma shears. Designed in compliance with NATA standards.
League Approval
HECC Type E1 Certified · USA HOCKEY· NHL · AHL · ECHL · NCAA
EVAP KNIT™ - Body
EVAP KNIT™ Body Construction
Most base layers are designed to move sweat after it forms on your skin. EVAP KNIT™ starts earlier managing moisture at the vapor stage, before liquid sweat develops. That distinction matters most under protective padding, where conventional fabrics stall completely.
Fiber
Merino Wool
Absorbs moisture vapor at the molecular level. Works without airflow including under full pad pressure.
Yarn Architecture
Zero-Twist Nuyarn®
Uncompressed fibers. Maximum surface area. Performance built into the yarn structure not a finish that washes out.
Drying Rate
5× faster
vs. traditional spun wool. The system resets between shifts rather than building toward saturation by the third period.
Odor Resistance
Structural not treated
Merino's fiber geometry resists bacterial adhesion. Doesn't wash out because it isn't applied.
Drying rate comparison vs. traditional ring-spun merino wool. Independent testing by AgResearch New Zealand (IANZ-accredited) and Intertek Vietnam.
